Earth tones, stripes and oversized hat

One of the first days during our vacation in Puglia we decided to go for a drive, explore the region a bit, see the beautiful villages around and maybe eat an Italian gelato. Before leaving we took some photos around our trullo.

I found this striped dress at Asos and loved its earth tones, its big wooden buttons and its strapless design! I paired it with an oversized black hat to protect my exposed shoulders from the sun :-, which to be honest was a bit inconvenient and heavy to stroll around with, but if you need protection from the sun along with some fun (or drama) by the beach or the pool, then go for it! I also chose this natural half-moon-shaped bag and a pair of black flat sandals, both with wooden details, and they matched so nicely with the hat and the dress. The whole outfit matched ideally with the exterior of the trullo!

Of course the gelato was so tasty. Italians are famous for their gelato. They claim it is better than ice cream and we won’t argue! They are right!
