It doesn’t matter if your outdoor space is small or big. It doesn’t matter if it is a backyard, a patio, or a balcony. You can always find ways to transform it into a warm, family-friendly place to relax, listen to music, read a book, or have a drink. There are some secrets, some magical things, and objects which if you throw them in the setting, I promise you, they will completely transform your outdoor space. These outdoor decorating essentials will bring your tiny patio over the top.

I can’t complain, this winter has been in general so warm, that we had to bring our garden lounge set furniture outside much earlier than usual for Austria. Winter is fine but there is nothing better than the first days of spring when the weather day by day gets warmer and you can finally enjoy sitting outside. But though I already have had the lounge set outside for at least 4 weeks, only now I felt it was finally warm enough and found the right mood to decorate the space.
Now more than ever we desperately need a space that helps us relax. So if you have in your position or you can use even the tiniest outdoor space during these difficult times we are stuck at home try to take advantage of it.

9 ESSENTIALS THAT WILL TRANSFORM ANY OUTDOOR SPACE
- 1 Indoor-Outdoor Rug
- 1-2 Blankets
- 5-6 Decorative Pillows
- 1-2 Baskets
- 1-2 Candle Lanterns
- 1 Big Plant
- 1-2 Smaller Plants
- 1-3 Beautiful Planters (or you can use the baskets)
- 1 Pop Of Glam (a golden or silver pillow/a golden deco accessory/etc.)
So, throw some decorative pillows on the floor, 1-2 blankets, an indoor-outdoor rug for warmth, big and small plants in stylish planters, and a candle lantern and you are all set! Try this list and tell me how it worked for you. 🙂

THE BOHO-CHIC PLUS ARIZONA-INSPIRED STYLE
Color-wise I like earth tones mixed with grey, black, and white. Stripes, pom-poms, and fringes together with natural materials like wood and straw and sometimes a pop of glam give from a boho-chic to an Arizona-inspired result. Decide on your color palette and then mix various textures, patterns, and textiles always keeping the same palette.

THE DISTRESSED DENIM HOME LOOK
Very often, except for my favorite cozy loungewear, I wear at home relaxed boyfriend jeans. I find it comfortable and cool and I consider distressed jeans as one of the staples in my wardrobe. These are a pair of vintage Levi’s jeans I bought second hand and I distressed them myself. I also wear regularly this white drop-arm tank top. I like its sporty-chic outlook and I practically wear it with everything, i.e. a lace bralette, a minimal bandeau top, or even a simple bra. It is very attractive and it definitely looks photogenic. Finally, my latest loungewear obsession is these fluffy flip-flops, which I wear non-stop. Aren’t they so cute? They are such a must-have for stay-home situations.

Happy spring and take care!
Love,
Jenny
