A White Dress for Summer: Like A Greek Goddess

It’s no secret that a simple white dress is a girl’s best friend throughout the summer. And not without a reason:

1. White reflects heat and sunlight while keeping your body cool.

2. It uplifts the mood and makes you feel somehow fresh and neat.

3. A must-have for your vacation packing checklist. Ideal if you are traveling to a hot summer destination. And, if you are heading to my homeland, Greece, or anywhere by the sea, white clothing is not only essential but also in perfect harmony with the color palette. : )

4. It is the easiest way to quickly create simple summer outfits that make you feel great and breezy.

5. Last but not least: simplicity is always in style. Your clothes don’t have to shout. And a simple white dress represents exactly that.

A WHITE DRESS FOR SUMMER VACATION IN GREECE

The dress I chose for my vacation by the sea in Greece is made by one of my favorite brands. It is the Kara Dress – Broderie from Saint & Sofia and I am wearing a 14 size (1.80 cm tall).

The dress I wear here is made of soft organic cotton and is smooth to the touch, just like all the garments of Saint and Sofia. I have also tried, for instance, this signature dress and this black dress and I am excited with the quality of the garments.

I love the broderie on the back, stitched by hand, it creates such a chic detailing. The waist is adjustable and you can wear it relaxed or tighter. It also has pockets! I find pockets such an interesting detail on a dress!

You can wear this dress with boots, heels, or trainers but for my vacation, I preferred rope flat sandals for a more natural and earth-like feeling.

The most characteristic piece that comes into my mind when I think about summer in Greece is a white maxi dress.

To accessorize a white dress for summer without losing its simplicity I prefer an invisible bag, i.e. a bag that does not attract much attention, such as a mini bag. Geometric lines for the jewelry work perfectly if you went to give a flair of Ancient Greek simplicity to your white dress outfit.
